So who sees to the day to day running of our club ?, what do they breed ? and who are they ?

I've tried to find out some details below

 

 

The Executive

Secretary/Treasurer: Miss Heather Henshaw

Heather breeds Longhairs in Coronet & Alpaca. She has been in the fancy for over 6 years. You can contact her at Contact The Club 

 


 

Assistant Secretary 

Mrs Christine Fort  

Married to Jim, Chris breeds longhaired cavies specialising in shelties,  many BIS wins, including Saltaire in 1998.

Chris has her own website , and runs many northern shows, including Warrington, Oldham,Todmordon & Halifax.

 

The Committee 

Jim Fort

Jim's love his Blacks and also breedsAbys in a variety of colours. He is a well respected  judge and helps run many a cavy show.

He has been in the fancy now for 7 years and is married to Chris.

Mrs Jackie Driver 

A top Longhaired breeder winning B.I.S. Doncaster 2005 with her Fabulous u/5 Sheltie.

As well as her blacks. Jackie has been in the fancy for over 20 years and is a popular judge with quality cavies.

 


A Robson

A Robson has been an outstanding judge for the NCF for many years and is now a life member of the committee and the judging panel

 


Miss Elaine Padley

Fairly new to the fancy Elaine has shown herself to be a hard worker and keen to promote the club.

The Judges

There are twelve esteemed judges on the Northern Cavy fanciers panel.

Jim is also on the committee, details above.

Mrs Carol Sharp

Carol is a popular judge and a real hard worker. running the cavy section of the Bradford show. I am currently unsure of what she breeds.

Mrs Kathy Dudding

Kathy breeds some of the best alpacas and Texels in the area.

Harold Mitchell

Harold has been in the cavy fancy longer than most of us and breeds excellent Dutch cavies, and some Tort & Whites, he is always ready with help and advice to the novice.

 

Miss Emma Sharp

Daughter to Carol. Emma breeds agoutis , amongst other breeds, She also helps mum with the Bradford show.

Mr David Collier

Elected new to the panel this year this is David's first judging position. David breeds Buffs & Argentes and can be contacted at dcavies71@aol.com 

Mr Peter Wardman

Already a Rex Panel judge Pete was also voted onto the NCF panel this year. He shows in partnership with his wife Liz, breeding top quality Rexes and Himalayans.

Mrs Tina Tennant

Tina shows Abyssinians and also helps out at clubs too numerous to mention

Mr Adam Collier

New to the panel this year but a very experienced cavy fancier

A Robson has been an outstanding judge for the NCF for many years and is now a life member of the committee and the judging panel

Mr Harry Bell

Harry has been in the fancy for around 5 years, and is a fast leaner, and that is down to sheer hard work and the will to learn. Harry has been travelling around visiting fanciers for the last 3 years learning everything there is to know about each breed of cavy. Known also as Goyt Valley Cavies he breeds Himalayans, mainly in Chocolate and has done very well with them. Before his Himalayans he bred Saffrons & Saffron Satins, and before that a shed full of pet Shelties. 

Miss Alaina Graham

Alaina has been in the fancy from a very young age showing longhairs amongst other breeds.

Still only young she knows cavies inside out and back to front.

Living in the Blackpool area she has travelled all over the country showing and lately judging for breed clubs on which she has become a panel judge.
